5 a side – roll on, roll off subs when the ball is dead.
There is no head height rule.
There are no offsides.
No sliding
‘Kick ins’ from the sides when the ball leaves the pitch.
The keeper may not leave the area, if the keeper does leave the area intentionally a penalty kick will be enforced.
The keeper may distribute the ball however they wish.
The keeper may not pick up back passes – a free kick from where the ball was passed will be awarded.
A player may not enter either area. If a defender enters his own area a penalty will be awarded, if its an attacker who enters the area the keeper will take control of the ball, however in either case if it is momentum that takes you into the area the punishment will not be enforced.
For all other rules the laws of association football will apply.
If the Goalkeeper passes you the ball it must then be passed to an outfield player before returning it back to him.
If a team fails to show up they will be given a 5-0 loss.
If you fail to turn up for a game you will be given a £40 fine, on top of your match fee.
We can always help out with getting players as we have a player pool of individuals who are after a game so get in touch if you need a hand one week.
The Soccer Gods 5-a-side league takes place at Harris Academy Peckham, 112 Peckham Road, London SE15 5DZ, just a short walk from Peckham Rye station. The venue features high-quality artificial grass pitches suitable for competitive small-sided football.
Matches are played Monday to Thursday evenings from 7PM to 10PM, making it ideal for after-work football in Peckham and surrounding South London areas.
It costs £50 per team per week, or £45 per week when paid upfront for the season. There are no hidden admin fees.
Each match is typically 40 minutes (20 minutes each way), giving teams a proper competitive game every week.
Yes, all matches are officiated by experienced referees to ensure fair play and competitive standards across the league.
Astro turf trainers or moulded boots are permitted. Metal studs are not allowed on the artificial pitch surface.
Yes. Individual players can register interest and be added to the Soccer Gods player pool to join an existing team in the Peckham league.
Yes, free on-site parking is available for players attending league matches.
Teams must provide notice if they cannot attend. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fine in line with league rules.
